My approach to therapy integrates psychodynamic and relational perspectives with evidence based techniques and interventions. I work collaboratively with my clients to tailor each treatment to the unique needs and concerns of the individual or the couple entering my office. Above all, I recognize that safety, respect, and trust are crucial for setting the framework of a productive and successful therapeutic relationship. I am dedicated to cultivating a nonjudgmental space where clients can uncover their potential and attain lasting, positive change.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

The focus of psychodynamic psychotherapy is to help clients gain insight into the ways that past experiences and relationships consciously and unconsciously shape and influence the present. Expanded insight and deepening self understanding allow an individual to access and change the problematic interpersonal, emotional, and behavioral patterns that may be causing difficulty in various areas of one's life.

Evidence Based Practices

Evidence based practices are treatments that integrate the best available scientific research with a client's unique therapy goals and personal characteristics. These approaches provide clients with the skills and tools to help address specific areas of difficulty. Some examples of interventions I frequently utilize with my clients include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness based approaches, relapse prevention, and trauma-focused therapies.
